Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the action game developed by Platinum Games based on the Metal Gear series, is now available for a reduced price on Amazon.
The online retailer has discounted both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, now available for around $9 instead of the usual $19.99. This price is a really good one, considering that some of the best DLC packs for the game are also available for free on PSN and Xbox Live.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is set after the events of Metal Gear Solid IV and stars Raiden, the character that has originally appeared in Metal Gear Solid II. The game was originally in development by Kojima Productions but the team didn’t manage to find an engaging gameplay formula revolving around the cutting mechanic. The game would have been cancelled if not for Platinum Games, which managed to create one of the best action games released on the previous console generations.
The game has also received several DLC packs. Two of them allow gamers to control two extra characters, Jetstream Sam and the Blade Wolf, who control quite differently from Raiden, further expanding the gameplay experience.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is now available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
